HOVERING silently above the hills is this the most astonishing picture yet of a UFO?

The ‘flying saucer’ was spotted flying over the Dyfi Estuary near Aberystwyth, Wales, by hundreds of gobsmacked onlookers.

And these amazingly clear pictures have given new hope to the thousands who believe life does exist on another planet.

Lucky Sonja Lewis was working at Borth Golf club where her husband is a pro-golfer, on December 28, when she captured the incredible scene on camera.

Solar UFOs enlisted to clean water in Osaka

OSAKA — Solar-powered water filtering devices resembling UFOs have been dispatched to clean up water in the moat of Osaka Castle.

The “Solar UFOs” are part of Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2009, an event that kicks off Saturday to promote Osaka as a water metropolis. They are provided by NTT Facilities, which is involved in building design work including solar power generation systems, as part of the Tokyo company’s social contribution efforts.

The disc-shaped “UFOs” have a diameter of 5 meters and a height of 1.6 meters. They operate using electricity generated through solar panels, filtering water they suck in and spouting out a fountain of clean water.

During six hours of operation each day, they can reportedly purify 9,000 liters of water. At night they are lit up by LED lights.

The filtering devices have been installed in two locations: the Osaka Castle Park south outer moat in Osaka’s Chuo Ward, and an area of the Dotonbori River in Nishi Ward. The Dotonbori River Solar UFOs will operate until Oct. 12, and the Osaka Castle Park device will be used until March 31 next year.

Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawp and camera phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.

The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare’s birthplace in Warwickshire on Saturday.

UFO sightings bring town to a standstill

Although Air Traffic Control reported no unusual activity, some witnesses were convinced they were witnessing an extra-terrestrial spectacle.

Shocking Mass UFO Sighting in Peru! Photos + Videos

Michael Cohen / Two bright unidentified objects have been spotted by residents of the city of Tacna, Peru. 13th August 2009. Residents all over the city were shocked to see two bright lights moving very slowy in the sky. Photos (above and below) and videos of the unidentified objects were taken.

Officials from the Carlos Ciriani airport in Tacna confirmed the objects were not airplanes.

Peru’s air force recently established a specific department to investigate UFO events. Many see this as effectively official UFO disclosure by that nation.

UFO fever is generally sweeping through Latin America at an incredible pace. Brazil has disclosed. Uruguay recently joined this UFO nation: disclosing its previously classified UFO files and allowing researchers to access them. Apparently around 40 well studied cases in the country have been made public. Some involve abductions and others highly documented UFO chases by the nation’s Air Force. UFO on the Moon in Apollo Days-Debunked? Review

In UFO on the moon in Apollo Days? You decide I posted a photograph that is alleged to be an official NASA photograph showing a UFO observing activities of Apollo 14 in 1971.

I had searched the NASA GRIN (Great Images in NASA) database for both numbers assigned to the photo, as well as performing a web search. I was unable to find any photo online with those numbers, although they are apparently NASA sequence numbers.

Of course, not all NASA photos may be online. So I dug a little deeper.

Shown above is an authentic NASA Apollo 14 image (#AS14-66-9306). Look at the lower right–see the bursts of color? Another UFO photo?

Nope.

It shows Antares on the Frau Mauro Highlands on Feb. 5, 1971. And here’s the explanation NASA provided:

A front view of the Apollo 14 Lunar Module “Antares”, which reflects a circular flare caused by the brilliant sun. The unusual ball of light was said by the astronauts to have a jewel-like appearance. At extreme left, the lower slope of Cone Crater can be seen.

For good measure, I found another Apollo 14 photo with lights nearby. This is #AS14-67-9367. cropped to accent the lights in the right corner. Read more …
