Mystery Lights Over The Midlands
November 11, 2009 / 63673
David Crabtree, Midlands correspondent
A “spectacular” display of dozens of UFOs has been reported in the skies over the West Midlands.
Eyewitnesses told Sky News that up to 70 bright circular objects could be seen near Halesowen.
Stunned residents watched in disbelief, convinced they were viewing an extra-terrestrial spectacle.
Each object was encircled with lights and had lights in the middle, according to witness Steven Randall who lives in Halesowen with is wife and three children.
He said: “This was incredible and so spectacular. The lights seem to climb into the sky to the north of us, just before 8pm last night.
“A neighbour had shouted for us to come and look. There were so many objects. From a distance they looked like bubbles rising in a fizzy drink.
“Then they came towards us and flew right over the top. Some were so close they were almost touching and were only a hundred feet or so above us. Read more …
Major UFO Breakthrough in Brazil
October 6, 2009 / 1666
The nation of Brazil is relaxing its policy of UFO secrecy. It is the first among a number of countries known to be considering the idea of abandoning the secrecy mandate that has been in place worldwide since the phenomenon first began to be publicly known nearly fifty years ago.
A.J. Gevaerd of the Brazilian Committee of UFO Researchers reports that a number of important files have just been released, including a folder containing documents from 1977 that cover dozens of cases of UFOs in the Amazon with over 100 pictures made during Operation Saucer, an official Brazilian military investigation that was carried out between September and December, 1977.
This change in policy means that one of the countries with the most extensive amount of UFO activity is now going to share its previously secret knowledge with the public. To read Mr. Gevaerd’s statement, click on full story.
A. J. Gevaerd writes:
Friday, May 20, was a historic day for Ufology in Brazil and in the world as the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), for the very first time in its history, officially receives a committee of top UFO researchers to openly discuss sightings in the country and fully exam classified UFO documents in several military facilities in Brasilia, the Federal Capital.
By doing this very important step, Brazilian Air Force (FAB) has placed Brazil in a very short list of countries whose militaries acknowledge the Ufology as a serious activity and significative effort to fully understand the nature and origin of UFOs. “We want to have all info on the subject, that is withheld by us for some decades, fully released to public, through the UFO community”, declared brigadier Telles Ribeiro, chief of Brazilian Air Force Communication Center. Chinese Lanterns or UFO Disinformation ?
September 29, 2009 / 3000
A bloke is out walking the dog or heading back from the pub and he sees glowing orange lights or orbs floating in the sky, sometimes a lone light sometimes a group. Often, if not always, reference will be made to a flame in the centre of the orb. Almost all witnesses will also mention the fact that the orbs were silent and ‘eerie’. Read more …
Ufo: Kentucky Coal Train Collision With UFO Disc
September 22, 2009 / 2767
PAINTSVILLE — At exactly 2:47 a.m. on January 14, 2002, while working a coal train enroute from Russell, Kentucky to Shelbiana, Kentucky, our trailing unit and first two cars were severely damaged as we struck an unknown floating or hovering object. I know it was 2:47 because my watch froze, and to this day shows that time. Along with my watch the entire electrical systems on both locomotives went haywire. Approaching a bend near milepost 42 in an area referred to as the Wild Kingdom, for the many different types of animals spotted there, my conductor and I saw lights coming from around the way. This ordinarily means another train is coming and will pass on the other track. The outlay of the area is this, the river, #1 track, #2 tracks and a straight up mountainside, carved out for the laying of these tracks. I killed our lights as not to blind the oncoming crew. As we rounded the corner our onboard computer began to flash in and out, speed recorder went nuts, and both locomotives died. Alarm bells began to ring and that’s when we saw the objects. Apparently scanning the river for something. At least three objects had several “search” lights trained there, the first object hovered about 10 to 12 feet above the track. Read more …
21 UFO Sightings in Police ‘X-files’
November 24, 2008 / 4677
THEY are more used to dealing with calls reporting crime and anti-social behaviour.
But Nottinghamshire Police have also experienced a number of rather other-worldly enquiries from members of the public.
New figures from the force reveal a total of 21 UFO sightings in the county were recorded in 11 calls to the force control room between November 1 in 2003 and October 31 this year.
One caller reported seven sightings in Eastwood, followed by another five from two callers in Newark.
A Notts Police spokesman said: “While we would advise the public to contact the Civil Aviation Authority to report any sightings, we do receive the occasional report of a UFO to the control room.
“In the event of a call, we would contact the East Midlands air traffic control to see if they are aware of anything that could be a UFO and report the sighting to them.” Read more …
