Phone Ghosts, Shadow People, FBI’s X-Files

Some interesting links I’ve found this week:
• Camera Phone Ghosts – Results of an experiment: This site asked readers to take pics with their camera phones to see what popped up. Some appeared to have faces. Had they unwittingly captured the images of ghosts? Or are they imaginary?
• The Official Shadow People Archives – If you’re curious about shadow people, this site offers lots of first-hand accounts of experiences with those spectres. They also have a page of other ghost stories.
• FBI’s Unusual Phenomena Listing – Ever wonder what the FBI has on the paranormal? This is their own page of Freedom on Information Act releases on Majestic 12, cattle mutliations, Roswell, Project Blue Book, and UFOs. All dated 1998.

Central New York Ghost Hunters capture a terrifying scene from the past
By Stephen Wagner, About.com
IN JANUARY, 2007, the Central New York Ghost Hunters (CNYGH), based in Syracuse, New York, were invited to investigate an old hotel in upstate New York. (The owners of the hotel have asked to keep its location confidential.) The investigation proved to be one of the most intensely active the group has ever encountered, and produced an EVP – an electronic voice phenomena recording – that is remarkable not only for its length, but also for its terrifying content.
It may well be the most intense, frightening EVP ever recorded.
THE INVESTIGATION
On that weekend in January, CNYGH founder Stacey Jones and several members of the group went to the hotel on an overnight stay for what they thought would be a routine investigation. They had no idea what they were in for…
Ghost hunters seek spirits in Southeast Texas with EVP

Inside a century-old house in Orange strange things have been happening, the owners say.
Family members claim they’ve seen candlesticks fly off shelves and empty rocking chairs that rock, stop, then rock again. They say they have heard voices that don’t belong calling out their names.
Who are they going to call?
Around here the Texas Society of Paranormal Investigators.
Don Dennis, the group’s founder, interviewed family members Saturday to prepare for a future investigation.
Next month, he said, a team of 10 ghost hunters will set up equipment that includes infrared cameras, a thermal camera and audio recorders.
Afterward, team members will review any abnormal images or unusual voice recordings - known as electronic voice phenomena - and try to identify a logical explanation before chalking the cause up to ghosts or spirits.
The investigation might require team member Mike Ardoin, who accompanied Dennis on the interview, to crawl through the attic, where they believe a spirit could be squatting.
