How Much of the Mask Will We See in Zombie’s H2?
April 13, 2009 / 21219
Wayne Toth, speaking from his make-up FX trailer, tells me we will see Michael Myers spend at least seventy-percent of the sequel without the mask. Myers, as played by Tyler Mane, will appear as the disheveled, bearded hulk we’ve seen in leaked set photos. “That’s Michael’s new look for a lot of the film. Fans will be shocked. They seem pretty responsive to it. But it’s like anything else, as long as you’re doing something cool, people get it.”
The film is set roughly two years after Zombie’s remake. Between films I’m told Myers has been living in the wild, exposed to the elements. A pic of Myers that was shown to me found him beneath a ragged hoodie, hair covering his dirtied face. He actually sorta resembles Zombie during his Hellbilly Deluxe days.
Toth assures us fans will see new interpretations of the Myers mask. “There are a couple different versions of the mask, but none of them are the same mask from the first film. He wanted to take them a step further, even though one of them is basically supposed to be the last mask. We’ve changed it anyway. Then towards the end of the film is the current version of the mask which is a lot different from any of them we’ve seen. People are going to be surprised when they see it. It’s going to thrown the Myers fans for a loop.” Read more …

H2 is the sequel to Rob Zombie’s Halloween, and is scheduled for release on august 28th 2009.
It has been confirmed that Rob Zombie will again write and direct the sequel, the origins of the story at this time are unknown, although it is going to take plase the moment the first one ended and Zombie has stated the film will not resemble the original Halloween sequel.
Recently on his Myspace page, Zombie stated that Tyler Mane would reprise his role as Michael Myers
Rob Zombie is packing up and heading back to Haddonfield for H2, the sequel to his remake of John Carpenter’s classic film from 1978. While other horror websites patronized us for reporting the story broke by Shock, it appears the egg is in their face as Zombie will return to both write and direct the sequel to HALLOWEEN for Dimension Films. Read on for the official news and full details on the deal. What do you guys think? Where should Zombie take the sequel?
Dimension Films and Rob Zombie are teaming for another chapter of “Halloween,” and he’s racing to scare up the pic for release in October.
Zombie will write and direct “H2,” the sequel to his 2007 reinvention of the John Carpenter horror classic. Production will begin in March.
The new film picks up right as the first remake ended, following the aftermath of Michael Myers’ murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted. Read more …
