Halloween 2009 Events: Halloween in Savannah, GA October 30-31
Friday October 30th and Saturday October 31st, you will have the opportunity to join American Ghost Tours’ team of investigators and explore the ghostly secrets of Savannah’s most haunted locations. During the course of the weekend you will have the chance to investigate places like the famous Moon River Brew Company, featured recently on the television show Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. Highly coveted by paranormal investigative teams throughout the country, Moon River boasts 4 floors of space, each teeming with a variety of unexplained experiences and tales of spiritual encounters. American Ghost Tours has been investigating Moon River since 2001 and conducted the very first paranormal investigation ever conducted there that same year. This property has never disappointed, always delivering more than its share of activity.
In addition, we will be conducting an investigation of the beautiful and mysterious Tybee Island Lighthouse and Museum, located on Tybee Island, just east of Savannah. This country has long-boasted an amazing collection of beautiful and historic lighthouses on both coasts. For centuries they have lit the way for ships of all sizes and countries of virtually every origin. Along the way–as historic buildings often do–these majestic structures have accumulated a great many ghost stories and tales of unusual experiences. The light station at Tybee Island is no exception. After successfully investigating the St. Augustine Lighthouse, American Ghost Tours is extremely excited to have the chance to continue our research at such an amazing and engaging property as is the Tybee Island Lighthouse and Museum. Halloween 2009 Events: Greenwood Cemetery Orlando, Florida October 24
For nearly 8 years Orlando Ghost Tours, a subsidiary of American Ghost Tours, has been proud to take our guests to the historic Greenwood Cemetery. Our paranormal investigative ghost tours have yielded some amazing results and provided many who have attended with fascinating experiences. So successful has our time at the Greenwood been that we have decided to provide you with a more intense, detailed investigative experience at this historic property.
Beginning at 8pm, you will have the opportunity to explore this enigmatic and serene property. Working alongside the experienced American Ghost Tours team of field investigators, you will have the chance to use real equipment throughout various areas of the cemetery property. Conduct EVP experiments, work with camera equipment, and utilize real equipment as we search for answers to some of the many mysteries that surround this historic cemetery
Rife with a myriad of ghostly tales and spiritual encounters, the Greenwood Cemetery was Orlando’s original graveyard, dating back to 1880, and serves as the final resting place for many of the city’s “founding fathers,” including Elijiah Hand, Cassius Boone, and Edward Kuhl. You will also have the opportunity to hear the stories of July Perry, visit the tomb of Thomas Jefferson’s grandson, and walk among the gravesites of many civil war veterans.
In addition to the investigation of the cemetery, you will also get the chance to view numerous alleged ghost photos and hear examples of EVP recorded at the Greenwood.
The price for this evening at the Greenwood Cemetery is just $50 per person. Space is extremely limited for this investigative event and we do expect this to be a sold out event.

Haunted Ghost Tours: A Step Back in Time
October 16, 2009 / 783
Welcome to A Step Back In Time where you will be taken on a journey not to different place, but to a different time.
Samples of some of the tours you can choose from:
Sundown in the Graveyard
Madison, Indiana: Ever wonder what the carving on a gravestone meant or why a grave marker is shaped like it is? Why widows wore veils? Who were these people and what happened to them? What were the death and burial customs of the various ethnic groups in America? What was the real purpose of a wake? Join me in an evening tour by lantern and find out. Limited to 30 people per tour.
By Moonlight on the River
Ohio River: Alan Eckert wrote a book “That Dark and Bloody River” and named it thus for a reason. The river was once the highway into the heartland and with its obvious benefits of progress and settlement came adventure, tragedy, crime and legends. Take an evening stroll with me along the banks of the Ohio River and you will never view it quite the same.
Haunted Historic Tavern Pubcrawl
Taverns were an important part of early travel “public houses.” This lively rivertown boasted multiple taverns of differing eras. Meander down the dark alleys of Madison between federal era homes and carriage houses, visit three historic taverns, hear about their histories and their ghost tales! Appetizer is included as part of tour at two taverns.

Halloween 2009 Events: May-Stringer Heritage Museum Brookvsille, Florida October 17
American Ghost Tours is constantly searching for new and exciting places to provide our guests with the chance to conduct a paranormal investigation. Our efforts have led us to such amazing places as Savannah, New Orleans, The Myrtles Plantation, Gettysburg, and Eastern State Penitentiary just to name a few. Until recently, we had been conducting tours and investigation at the Belleview Biltmore Hotel in Clearwater, FL. However, once that hotel closed its doors at the end of May for a 3-year renovation period, we were flooded with requests and questions as to when we were going to set up additional tours and events in the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater area.
We will be conducting a 4-hour investigation of the beautiful, historic, and quite haunted May-Stringer Heritage Museum, or May-Stringer House, located just to the north of Tampa. From 9:00pm until 1:00am you will have the chance to work with American Ghost Tours’ team of investigators and explore what is considered by many to be one of the West Coast of Florida’s most paranormally active locations. Use real investigative equipment, camera technology, and conduct EVP experiments as we search for answers to some of the ghostly mysteries that have become synonymous with the May-Stringer House. The Top Ten Best And Most Haunted Ghost Tours: Ghost Tours of St. Augustine
October 13, 2009 / 330
Ghost Tours of St. Augustine was developed in 1994 by Sandy Craig, a native resident of St. Augustine. Sandy’s heritage roots go back 400 years in St. Augustine, to the first Spanish settlers who arrived in this ancient city. She is of Minorcan descent, a cultural group of people migrated from Minorca, Spain who still inhabit St. Augustine. Maybe this explains her interest with the old spirits of St. Augustine. She’s been know to say, “When I pass away, I want to stay here like everyone else and have people tell fascinating stories about why I just can’t leave this wonderful city.”
“A Ghostly Experience” walking tour had its beginnings in 1994 when Sandy, owner of Tour Saint Augustine, Inc., decided school groups staying overnight needed a fun, educational activity in the evenings. She met with local writer and historican Karen Harvey and developed a tour based on legends of ghosts and other strange experiences that occurred right here in St. Augustine. She guided groups of school children along narrow brick lined streets at night searching for the supernatural. As you can imagine, “A Ghostly Experience” was a huge success, and due to popular demand, the tour was expanded to include the public.
Ghost Tours of St. Augustine now employs over 20 professional storytellers, and continues to add more and more ghostly tales to the tour. All of our stories are researched through records from historical libraries, church documents, personal diaries and personal interview. Nothing is made up, and no artificial special effects are used during the tour. If you see something while out there, you’ll know it’s real!
This award winning tour, recently voted #1 Guided Tour in Florida by the readers of Florida Living Magazine and is featured on the Discovery and Travel Channels, is held every night of the year, including all holidays, and we also have other seasonal and private tours available. “A Ghostly Experience” is now available in book, CD, cassette tape, and our newly released video tape. All of these can be ordered on line.
Lee N. Pallas - Manager of the Ghost Tours of St. Augustine. The Ghost tours of St. Augustine started in April 1994.
