A Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing - Horror Picture
October 21, 2010 / 1111
How do I do it? What is my secret? How do I know which random person I come across is merely a misguided mortal and which is a creature of darkness? Well it’s usually not easy, readers. All “homo nocturnus” have the ability to “blend in” to some degree. It has been my experience that Nosferatu and Lycanthropes are the best at hiding their true nature … but even zombies, ghouls, and wraiths can manage so long as they “stick to the shadows”. The spawn of the Elder Gods are another matter entirely and generally speaking must go to great lengths to “cover their family history”. But none of this is really important.
In today’s case, however it was quite easy. Take a look at our friend “RaoulDuke” here (another denizen of the infamous RUE MORGUE). Read more …
Halloween Event: Festival Of The Dead History, Photos and Videos
October 12, 2009 / 3353
From their earliest beginnings, humans have had to face the great mystery of death. Over time, the wise learned to understand and honor this most profound of the rites of passage, guiding their peoples to understand these mysteries. They knew that even in the brightest of life’s moments, Death’s face would be peering from just beyond the shadows, waiting to leave his calling card. Death is humankind’s great lover, who courts and pursues us with a conviction no mortal lover is capable of.
Throughout history, humans have been led in a dance with death that is both fearful and romantic. Digging through the tomes of religion, myth, anthropology, folklore, and literature, we find the grim examples of death’s shadows cast over all cultures like the shrouds within dusty sepultures. Dark Oh Look : Darkness (Also Called Lightlessness) is the Absence of Light
October 24, 2008 / 420
A dark object reflects fewer visible photons than other objects, and therefore appears dim in comparison. For example, matte black paint does not reflect visible light and appears dark, but white paint reflects all visible light and appears bright. For more information see color.
However; light cannot simply be absorbed without limit. Energy, like visible light, cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be converted from one type of energy to another. Most objects that absorb visible light reemit it as infrared light. So, although an object may appear dark, it is likely bright at a frequency that a human being cannot see. For more information see thermodynamics. Read more …

Where does the darkness come from? Is there anyway to stop the horror that is trying so hard to be unleashed? The house is full of hidden secrets, a horrifying past and inconceivable evil that work against its benefactors from the moment they move in.
Summary:
One would assume to investigate the reason a house would stay empty for so many years, yet no one has dared to ask the question in regards to the abandoned house on the Spanish estate. It seems there’s something evil that awaits the unsuspecting family that moves in to this ‘house of horror’. With grandfather Rua (Giancarlo Giannini) having been so helpful to find this house for his son and his family, it is a wonder his treasure hasn’t already been discovered. A wonder that, perhaps, was meant to stay a wonder and nothing more. Read more …
The Darkness (The First One’s Free!)
August 6, 2008 / 1006
The Darkness
The comic’s central theme is the power known as The Darkness and its wielders. The Darkness is an ageless power dating back beyond human history. It is linked with the Angelus and the Witchblade. The Darkness is passed down a family line from father to son, leaving the previous user (and taking his life) as his first child is conceived. The power then manifests in the child on his 21st birthday.
Darkness users can create anything they desire with The Darkness, even sentient beings, but anything they make will crumble to dust in the light. The Darkness is quite deadly, allowing the user to call forth darkling minions to aid them, and even survive gunshots. The power can also be used to maul and feed on people.
The Darkness does not function unless it is dark, but some users can also manipulate this by creating their own shadows/darkness (e.g. smoke grenades), being underground, turning off lights in a room, etc.
