JENNIFER’S BODY SYNOPSIS

Jennifer’s Body is a 2009 dark comedy and horror film written by Diablo Cody. The film is directed by Karyn Kusama, and stars Megan Fox as the title character, Amanda Seyfried as her best friend Needy, and Adam Brody as the antagonist Nikolai. It is scheduled for theatrical release in the United States and Canada on September 18, 2009.

Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) is the sexy, popular captain of the high school cheerleading squad. All of the girls want to be friends with her, and all of the boys want to have sex with her. Jennifer’s friend since childhood, Anita “Needy” Lesnicky (Amanda Seyfried), is a nerdy, substantially less popular, “plain jane” student. Jennifer ends up as the sacrifice in a Satanic ritual, held by a rock band, hoping that the sacrifice will increase their chances of getting a record deal. The ritual goes horribly wrong, causing Jennifer to get possessed by a demon and start feeding off of the boys in her high school; First seducing them to get close, and then consuming them in a manner similar to that of a Succubus. It becomes Needy’s goal to stop Jennifer from killing more of her classmates.

Demon possession, devilish cheerleaders, and Satanic rock stars are all on the chopping block with this horror comedy from the production team behind Juno. Book of Blood (V) September 29, Poster, Synopsis, Review and Trailer

By: Brad Miska (MrDisgusting): Just how important is BOOK OF BLOOD? While it’s not a sequel, or a prequel for that matter, the Clive Barker short story is the tale of where all of Barker’s shorts originated from (and where it ends). So, without a shadow of a doubt, this feature film adaptation should have been treated with such loving care that a mother with a new child would be jealous. BOOK OF BLOOD is the equivalent to Jason Voorhees getting his mask or Leatherface wielding a chainsaw, and yet, John Harrison found a way to completely crap all over it.

While studying a college student, Simon McNeal (Jonas Armstrong), who appears to be channeling messages from the dead, paranormal researcher Mary Florescu’s (Sophie Ward) discovers a house that is at the intersection of so-called “highways” transporting souls in the afterlife (as repeated several times during the duration of the film). Aka Fermat’s Room, is a thriller like Saw, but less violent. It features four mathematicians who do not know each other, invited by a mysterious host to go to a house to solve a great enigma. They then find themselves in a room that shrinks and may well crush them if they do not quickly find the link between them and why we want to assassinate him.

After resolving a test with a sequence of numbers, four mathematicians are challenged by a mysterious man called Fermat to meet in an isolated place to resolve the greatest enigma ever. Each one receives a code name - Hilbert, Pascal, Galois and Oliva - and heads to a barn in an island.

Inside the barn, they find a comfortable room, and sooner their host arrives. They have dinner together and Fermat receives a phone call from the hospital where his daughter in interned in coma. Read more …

SYNOPSIS

The movie centers on two brothers who come upon a rarely used shortcut in their new town — and soon discover the reasons why it’s so rarely used.

A shortcut through the woods saved a lot of time getting to school, but no kids growing up in a suburban neighborhood dared to take it. The trail ran within sight of a scary house with an eerie old man who would accost its travelers with an ominous message to stay away.

Town legend said he was involved in the disappearances of some kids long ago. Now that some of those same kids are in their late teens, they decide to find out the truth about the old man after they learn hes still at his game.
