Skull Manipulation in Photoshop Tutorial

Skull Manipulation in Photoshop TutorialIn this tutorial we are going to take a normal face and turn it into an undead cyborg! First we need a good face to work with, I found this one

Next we need a good skull, you can use the one I found below.

Copy both images onto your canvas. Next we need to position our skull in line with our man’s face. To do this, reduce, the opacity of your skull layer and rotate/transform it accordingly. When you have found a good spot for it, bring the opacity back up to 100%, and place the skull layer below your face layer.

Now that our skull is in line, and below our face, we need to delete some parts of the face to reveal the skull below. Take out of pen tool, and make a selection similar to mine. Once you have a nice area selection, right click and choose “make selection” and enter a value of 0px. Read more …

Lil’ Bit and the Spectral Visitor

April 21, 2009 / 6634

Paranormal Man FloatingI do have one story of my pug and a ghost in the house we live in. To make it short: My Lil’ Bit (now deceased) was the first to sense this. There is a corner of the kitchen where she used to just stare and all of a sudden the hair on the back of her neck would stand up and then she would start to growl. This happened more than once. We have mentioned it to our landlord and he said that there was an old man that burned up in the house. Read more …

How to Add Whiskers to Halloween Cat Makeup

April 21, 2009 / 5023

How To  Halloween

Dressing up as a cat is a favorite for both young kids and adults when it comes to costumes. No cat costume is complete without the proper painting of your face. The finishing touch on every cat face is the whiskers. Follow these steps to add whiskers to your cat makeup.

Instructions
Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

* Eyeliner, eyebrow pencil or grease paint
* Cotton swab
* Powder

Step1

Wash and dry your face thoroughly before applying makeup.

Step2
Apply face paint in the cat design you like.

Step3
Use an eyebrow pencil, eyeliner or grease paint to make the pads for the whiskers. Make small round dots on your upper lip below your nose. You only need 3 to 5 dots on each side. Press the end of your eyeliner or eyebrow pencil on to your skin and then rotate in a circle to make a perfectly round dot. If you are using grease paint, use a cotton swab, dip it in to the grease paint and then use the same process as above to make the pads.

Step4
Draw on the whiskers by taking your eyebrow pencil or liner and starting near the dots you just made, make quick even strokes across the face out towards your ears. You can use a business card or edge of a piece of paper as a guide to help you keep the lines straight or just draw them free hand.

Step5
Use black or brown colored makeup to draw whiskers if you have light skin. For darker colored skin, use a yellow or silver color to make your whiskers.

Step6
Set your makeup by dusting your face with a coat of powder.

Tips & Warnings

* Liquid eyeliner works well for drawing cat whiskers.
* Remember not to rub or scratch your face once your makeup is on to avoid smudging it.
* Avoid getting makeup in your eyes.
