Megan Fox Won’t Be in Transformers 3!
May 26, 2010 / 1033152
Some potential Transformers 3 drama has been reported on Deadline Hollywood. Apparently Paramount won’t be picking up Megan Fox’s option on Transformers 3 “and that it was ultimately director Michael Bay’s decision.”
If Fox has been dropped it must have been be a very recent (and last minute) decision. The actress was spotted on set doing previz shots (visualizing scenes before filming begins) just 2 weeks ago and Bay said in November that Megan had “a great part” in the next film.
If Megan has been dropped i’m sure we’ll find out why in good time. Some are suggesting that she may have been let go because of her digs at the director in the press, apparently referred to Michael Bay as a “nightmare” and “Hitler” during a few interviews last year. I doubt that will be the sole reason though, if it were Bay would have just eliminated her from the script from the start. It could be the case that Fox and Bay haven’t been getting along and the prospect of spending the next 5 months together doesn’t appeal to them. (Source: filmonic.com)
Independence Day 2 and 3 Sequels With Will Smith
March 31, 2010 / 634414
by Scott Collura / Are you hungry to see Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum defeat another alien invasion with nothing more than a laptop and a pair of cigars? Then you may be in luck, for the talk of a sequel to Independence Day just won’t die. And in fact, now the scuttlebutt has two new ID4 pictures being made.
IESB, who seems to be Goldblum to 20th Century Fox’s Smith with the scoops they get from inside that studio, is reporting that they’ve received a tip that the former Fresh Prince is now locked for ID4 2 and ID4 3.
“The plan would be to shoot both films back-to-back,” says the site. “Whether the studio opts to go the Matrix route and release the two films six months apart or do like the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels and split them by a year remains to be seen. According to our sources, if all goes according to plan, the sequel(s) could shoot as early as 2011.”
One of the obstacles to getting a sequel made in the past has been Smith’s exorbitant price tag, but apparently Fox has deemed that an acceptable risk. The plan, if it happens, will have the original’s director Roland Emmerich — who talked up the two-sequel idea back in November — helming after his thriller Anonymous is done; the production start will also have to wait until Smith finishes his next picture (either Men in Black 3 or The City That Sailed).
This is all still rumor, but crazier things have happened. What do you guys think? Is it time for the aliens to attack again?

Alice in Wonderland Synopsis
Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice) attempts to work his gothic magic over one of the best loved stories of all time… Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’ and ‘Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There’, which first told the story of a young girl, who after following a rabbit down a hole, is transported to a strange world. Whilst the disney version of the tale relied on sweetness and light to delight the audience, Burton fans can be sure to look out for the same cartoon traits as earlier masterpiece ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’.
The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.
Among those who welcome her back is the Mad Hatter, a part tailor-made for Johnny Depp as he collaborates with Burton for the seventh time Read more …

January 9, 2010 / 47354
Tobey Maguire on the Spider-Man 4 Production Delay - Upcoming Movies / In a live webcam chat on Thursday at the Los Angeles Times’ The Envelope, Tobey Maguire addressed reports that production has been postponed on Spider-Man 4 so that Alvin Sargent can do more work on the script.
“Like anything, it’s a process,” Maguire said. “We’re just in the midst of the process. We have a lot of great stuff in terms of story and script. We’re just trying to dial it in and get it ready as quickly as possible. Of course, these movies are a very big undertaking and take a lot more time than a drama or something more straightforward.”
The studio hasn’t given up the scheduled May 5, 2011 release date just yet, but whatever happens, Maguire is excited about the character’s future.
“Not only do I have specific ideas, but the ideas are evolving on the page,” he said. “It’s all happening right now. It’s all sort of coming together. It’s very exciting to me. I think the evolution of the character is really exciting, to be rooted in the history of what we’ve done already and to have a continuity, yet have a progression or evolution.”

Scooper ‘Narrows101′ pointed us to the People’s Choice Awards 2010 website where you can find a video of Hugh Jackman, who won “Favorite Action Star,” talking briefly about Wolverine 2.
In the video titled ‘Hugh Jackman Backstage,’ Jackman first says that he’s going to shoot the Shawn Levy-directed Real Steel this summer, followed by this: “Wolverine’s going to be back. He’s going to Japan. We shoot that probably in a year, year-and-a-half, something like that.”
Considering the 2011 shoot, we guess that they’ll be eyeing a summer 2012 release.
