A Little More Personal (2005)
In December 2005, her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, but fell under the top 100 within six weeks. Reviews were unfavorable; critics called the album a “slick pop production.” Slant magazine called it “contrived … for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there’s not much meat on these bones.” Still, A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold on 18 January 2006. The music video for the album’s first single, “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” — directed by Lohan and featuring the acting debut of her sister, Ali — was a dramatization of the pain Lohan says her family has suffered at the hands of her father. She said “It’s kind of offensive… I hope he sees the positive side of the video rather than the negative.”
The album’s second single was supposed to be “I Live for the Day.” Radio promos singles were pressed and released and sent to radio stations. However due to Lohan’s schedule, she was unable to promote or support the single as she did with her previous efforts. Eventually, since the single received absolutely no radio airplay or support, and the disappointing chart position and sales of the album, Casablanca Records cancelled “I Live for the Day” and moved forward with “If It’s Alright” as the second single. However plans for releasing “If It’s Alright” were later cancelled, as well as all other singles and promotion with the album. Therefore, A Little More Personal (Raw) was not as successful as her previous album, Speak. A Little More Personal (Raw), with little promotion, was still certified gold by the RIAA on 18 January 2006 after debuting on the Billboard 200 at #20, while “Speak” went platinum after debuting at #4. Jennifer Love Hewitt - Candids Halloween Party 2006
October 31, 2008 / 368
In 1991, Meldac funded the recording of Hewitt’s first album ‘Love Songs’, when she was just 12. The album was only released in Japan in 1992 where Hewitt became a pop star. Her explanation for her success in Japan is that the Japanese “love perky music. The poppier the music, the better.”
After she joined the cast of Party of Five in 1995, she signed to Atlantic Records, who rushed her first single and second album Let’s Go Bang out in October.
Juggling her music career with her acting career, she recorded her follow-up in 1996. The first single, “No Ordinary Love”, failed to chart and led to the album doing the same. Atlantic dropped Hewitt, who didn’t return to the music scene for 3 years.
In 1999, she recorded the single “How Do I Deal” for the I Still Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack. The song became Hewitt’s first charting single by climbing to #59 on the Hot 100 and #36 on the Top 40 Mainstream. It also reached #8 in Australia. Read more …

2008 parody Presidential campaign
On August 6, 2008, Paris appeared in a 1 minute 50 second long video, “Paris Hilton Responds to McCain Ad”, directed by Adam McKay and posted on the Funny or Die website.
The video featured Paris in a parody advertisement, and was made in response to a television campaign advert “Celeb”, broadcast in 11 US states by the 2008 John McCain presidential campaign. In Celeb, McCain briefly compared his rival Barack Obama to that of celebrities such as Paris and Britney Spears, and goes on to question his readiness to lead and criticise his energy policy.
In what The Washington Post opined “might just be her best acting role yet,” Hilton appears wearing a leopard print swimsuit. She starts out by suggesting that her personal mention by McCain means that she must now be a candidate in the presidential race, and goes on to mock McCain, and critique the expected qualities and lifestyle of a celebity in comparison to that of a US president. In a 30 second segment, in the style of an academic speaker, Paris compares and contrasts the policies of McCain and Obama for solving the US energy crisis, and goes on to propose a ‘compromise solution’ combining elements of both.

The Hills
The first season of The Hills premiered on MTV in May 2006. The series documents Conrad’s work at Teen Vogue along with her life and the lives of her friends, including then-roommate Heidi Montag.
MTV renewed The Hills for a second season, which filmed from late summer 2006 through February 2007. Throughout that time the friendship between Conrad and Montag deteriorated as Montag increasingly spent her time with her new boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. By February 2007, Audrina Patridge, another person featured on The Hills, replaced Montag as Conrad’s roommate after Montag moved into a separate apartment with Pratt, effectively ending the friendship.
The third season began on August 13, 2007 in the United States. Things quickly ignited between Lauren and Heidi as rumors swirled between seasons. Heidi was supposedly to blame for the rumors which helped to solidify Lauren’s prior feelings towards her ex-best friend. Through all of the rumors, Lauren and Brody began to grow closer than ever just before she got her second chance of going to Paris with Teen Vogue. Read more …
