Career
Reid began her career at the age of six years in 1982 on the game show Child’s Play. As a child she had roles in a number of commercials for McDonald’s, Crayola, and Jell-O. She grew up in New York City suburbs, and attended the Professional Children’s School along with such celebrities as Christina Ricci, Ben Taylor, Jerry O’Connell, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Macaulay Culkin. Although her break-through role was in American Pie in 1999, followers of the 1998 cult film The Big Lebowski already knew her as Bunnie Lebowski. Reid spent the late 1990s appearing more often on the cover of tabloid magazines than on screen. Her extroverted social life soon gave her a reputation as a party girl; in fact, U.S. magazine In Touch Weekly, recently voted Reid “top party animal”. She spoofed that image with her role on the N.B.C. comedy-drama Scrubs as Danni Sullivan, main character J.D.’s promiscuous sweet-heart.
Taradise, her half-hour television show on the E! network, premiered in September 2005; it was canceled the following month. The show was an up-dated incarnation of E!’s well-known series Wild On, where a celebrity host or model traveled to distant places to party. Previously during summer 2005, she was busy shooting Incubus in Romania at an assortment of clubs with Bucharest’s local socialites. In January 2007, Reid filmed a commercial with Daniel Conn for Dodo, an Australian budget telephone and Internet provider. Reid appeared in the September 2007 issue of FHM magazine. Read more …

Cuthbert’s next film project was the indie film The Quiet, which she not only co-starred in but also co-produced and helped finance. She played Nina, a temperamental 17-year-old cheerleader who suffers from sexual abuse. Cuthbert looked to her younger cousin for inspiration as to how to play a teenager. The Quiet, distributed by Sony Pictures Classics, premiered at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival and received a limited release in Los Angeles and New York City on August 25, 2006, before expanding regionally on September 1.
Cuthbert appeared in the music video for Weezer’s “Perfect Situation” in early 2006, where she played the group’s fictional original singer who threw a tantrum that led to Rivers Cuomo, the unlikely roadie, becoming the frontman of the band. A Little More Personal (2005)
In December 2005, her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, but fell under the top 100 within six weeks. Reviews were unfavorable; critics called the album a “slick pop production.” Slant magazine called it “contrived … for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there’s not much meat on these bones.” Still, A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold on 18 January 2006. The music video for the album’s first single, “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” — directed by Lohan and featuring the acting debut of her sister, Ali — was a dramatization of the pain Lohan says her family has suffered at the hands of her father. She said “It’s kind of offensive… I hope he sees the positive side of the video rather than the negative.”
The album’s second single was supposed to be “I Live for the Day.” Radio promos singles were pressed and released and sent to radio stations. However due to Lohan’s schedule, she was unable to promote or support the single as she did with her previous efforts. Eventually, since the single received absolutely no radio airplay or support, and the disappointing chart position and sales of the album, Casablanca Records cancelled “I Live for the Day” and moved forward with “If It’s Alright” as the second single. However plans for releasing “If It’s Alright” were later cancelled, as well as all other singles and promotion with the album. Therefore, A Little More Personal (Raw) was not as successful as her previous album, Speak. A Little More Personal (Raw), with little promotion, was still certified gold by the RIAA on 18 January 2006 after debuting on the Billboard 200 at #20, while “Speak” went platinum after debuting at #4.
