A dark object reflects fewer visible photons than other objects, and therefore appears dim in comparison. For example, matte black paint does not reflect visible light and appears dark, but white paint reflects all visible light and appears bright. For more information see color.
However; light cannot simply be absorbed without limit. Energy, like visible light, cannot be created or destroyed. It can only be converted from one type of energy to another. Most objects that absorb visible light reemit it as infrared light. So, although an object may appear dark, it is likely bright at a frequency that a human being cannot see. For more information see thermodynamics.
A dark area has limited light sources, making things hard to see. Exposure to alternating light and darkness (night and day) has caused several evolutionary adaptations to darkness. When a vertebrate, like a human, enters a dark area, its iris dilates, allowing more light to enter the eye and improving night vision. Read more …
Movie Posters - Horror Suspense Movies (35 HQ Pics)
December 18, 2008 / 3068
A film poster is a poster used to advertise a film. There may be several versions for one film. It usually contains an image with text.
The text contains the film title and often the names of the main actors. It may also include a tag line, the name of the director, names of characters, the release date, etc.
Film posters are displayed inside and on the outside of movie theaters, and elsewhere on the street. The same image would appear in a film exhibitor’s pressbook and may also be used on websites, DVD-packaging, flyers, advertisements in newspapers and magazines, etc.
Use of such posters goes back to the earliest public exhibitions of film, where they began as outside placards listing the programme of (short) films to be shown inside the hall or movie theater.
By the early 1900s, they began to feature illustrations of a scene from each individual film or an array of overlaid images from several scenes.
Other movie posters have used artistic interpretations of a scene or even the theme of the film, represented in a wide variety of artistic styles. Movie posters are produced in a large number of sizes to meet various advertising needs. Read more …
Lindsay Lohan in Tlack Silk Satin Pajamas Goes to Halloween Party

A Little More Personal (2005)
In December 2005, her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), debuted at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, but fell under the top 100 within six weeks. Reviews were unfavorable; critics called the album a “slick pop production.” Slant magazine called it “contrived … for all the so-called weighty subject matter, there’s not much meat on these bones.” Still, A Little More Personal (Raw) was certified Gold on 18 January 2006. The music video for the album’s first single, “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” — directed by Lohan and featuring the acting debut of her sister, Ali — was a dramatization of the pain Lohan says her family has suffered at the hands of her father. She said “It’s kind of offensive… I hope he sees the positive side of the video rather than the negative.”
The album’s second single was supposed to be “I Live for the Day.” Radio promos singles were pressed and released and sent to radio stations. However due to Lohan’s schedule, she was unable to promote or support the single as she did with her previous efforts. Eventually, since the single received absolutely no radio airplay or support, and the disappointing chart position and sales of the album, Casablanca Records cancelled “I Live for the Day” and moved forward with “If It’s Alright” as the second single. However plans for releasing “If It’s Alright” were later cancelled, as well as all other singles and promotion with the album. Therefore, A Little More Personal (Raw) was not as successful as her previous album, Speak. A Little More Personal (Raw), with little promotion, was still certified gold by the RIAA on 18 January 2006 after debuting on the Billboard 200 at #20, while “Speak” went platinum after debuting at #4. Jennifer Love Hewitt - Candids Halloween Party 2006
October 31, 2008 / 1944
In 1991, Meldac funded the recording of Hewitt’s first album ‘Love Songs’, when she was just 12. The album was only released in Japan in 1992 where Hewitt became a pop star. Her explanation for her success in Japan is that the Japanese “love perky music. The poppier the music, the better.”
After she joined the cast of Party of Five in 1995, she signed to Atlantic Records, who rushed her first single and second album Let’s Go Bang out in October.
Juggling her music career with her acting career, she recorded her follow-up in 1996. The first single, “No Ordinary Love”, failed to chart and led to the album doing the same. Atlantic dropped Hewitt, who didn’t return to the music scene for 3 years.
In 1999, she recorded the single “How Do I Deal” for the I Still Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack. The song became Hewitt’s first charting single by climbing to #59 on the Hot 100 and #36 on the Top 40 Mainstream. It also reached #8 in Australia. Read more …

The Hills
The first season of The Hills premiered on MTV in May 2006. The series documents Conrad’s work at Teen Vogue along with her life and the lives of her friends, including then-roommate Heidi Montag.
MTV renewed The Hills for a second season, which filmed from late summer 2006 through February 2007. Throughout that time the friendship between Conrad and Montag deteriorated as Montag increasingly spent her time with her new boyfriend, Spencer Pratt. By February 2007, Audrina Patridge, another person featured on The Hills, replaced Montag as Conrad’s roommate after Montag moved into a separate apartment with Pratt, effectively ending the friendship.
The third season began on August 13, 2007 in the United States. Things quickly ignited between Lauren and Heidi as rumors swirled between seasons. Heidi was supposedly to blame for the rumors which helped to solidify Lauren’s prior feelings towards her ex-best friend. Through all of the rumors, Lauren and Brody began to grow closer than ever just before she got her second chance of going to Paris with Teen Vogue. Read more …
