How to Plan a Sexy Halloween Party
September 29, 2008 / 7146
Halloween is not longer a kids-only affair. Adults can also have fun, especially if they give their parties a special twist. Ideal for singles and to break the ice among strangers in general, sexy Halloween parties can be great fun if planned right. Read on to learn how to plan a sexy Halloween party.
Things You’ll Need:
Make sexy costumes mandatory. Remind guests that they don’t need to spend money on complicated costumes, but they do need to “show some skin” in order to qualify for entrance. Suits featuring short skirts, low-cut tops and high heels should be enforced. Classics such as sexy nurse or naughty teacher get extra points.
Step2
Decide on the tone and style of the party beforehand. For a sexy party, you’re better off limiting the age of the guests. Everybody should be at least 18, although 21 would be better, especially if you’re considering serving alcohol.
Step3
Set the mood. Turn the lights off and use only candles or Christmas lights to illuminate the rooms. Or change the bulbs to red or black colors, so you still get a soft glow, but a moody one. Strobe lights are great if you can rent a set for the night, as are smoke machines and other special effects.
Step4
Look for sexy board games that are appropriate for large groups. They are usually sold at adult video stores or party planning centers. If you can’t find anything where you live or if you’re shopping at the last-minute, try putting a sexy twist to the classics. Truth or Dare, Chance and even Twister can be sexy if played right (keep in mind all the short skirts around).
Step5
Don’t forget the basics. Sexy or not, this is still a Halloween party. Get scary props, lots of Halloween-inspired food (orange or red drinks and candy corn) and fitting music. Even if you plan on dancing later on, still get a CD of scary sounds to play in the background.
Tips & Warnings
- Unless you live in a small town with no special official celebrations, you may not want to hold your Halloween party on October 31. Large cities often have parades that people may want to attend. If you do have your party on the 31, start late so people have time to take their kids trick or treating before.
