SYNOPSIS
Film deals with a group of beautiful teenagers who are isolated and killed off one by one.
“You didn’t say ‘Simon says.’” A popular child’s game is no laughing matter when an ax-wielding maniac decides to cut a group of campers’ young lives short by picking them off one by one.
Actor Crispin Glover, of Back to the Future, Willard, and Beowulf fame, plays a set of awkward twins named Simon and Stanley who are responsible for a set of gruesome murders at a campsite located deep in the woods.
As the five teens stumble across the trail of the creepy brothers, they soon realize they have made a very grave mistake.
Even the sole survivor, Kate (Margo Harshman - Fired Up and TV’s Run of the House) is unable to free herself from the grips of the cold-blooded Simon who states throughout the film that she is his “dream girl.”
Simon Says is receiving rave reviews from Independent Film Quarterly, who called it “the best horror film of 2009”; Fantastic Fest, who claimed it was “one of the most unhinged performances of Glover’s career”; and UpcomingHorrorMovies.com who said, “Simon Says looks to be the next great franchise to come to the screen in a long time.”
Full of twists and turns and a relatively believable plot, Barnholtz Entertainment’s new release, Simon Says, features Blake Lively (TV’s Gossip Girl, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1 & 2), her father Ernie Lively, her sisters, Robyn Lively (Chicago Hope, Teen Witch) and Lori Lively, as well as Bart Johnson (High School Musical 1-3 and Robyn Lively’s husband) and Kelly Blatz (TV’s Aaron Stone and Blake Lively’s boyfriend).
Literally a family affair, the DVD will hit store shelves June 23rd. With a running-time of 86 minutes and complete with a surprise ending, viewers can access special features like the director’s commentary, storyboard comparisons, behind-the-scenes footage, a stills gallery and Spanish subtitles…only when Simon says so.
