In the days of black and white film, chocolate syrup was often used to depict blood. Today we expect a bit more realisem to add gore to Halloween, a stunt or a movie scene. You can mix up a batch of fake blood with easy-to-find ingredients and fairly realistic results. Test the results and adjust the coloring to reach the desired effect and get gruesome

Step2
Add the sifted cornstarch to the mixture. Gently shake the jar until the cornstarch is fully incorporated. Store the fake blood in the refrigerator to prevent spoilage and extend its life.
Step3
Make a chocolate fake blood with 4 tbsp. dark corn syrup, 1 tbsp powdered cocoa, 1 tsp. red food coloring and a 1/2 cup warm water. Combine in a small jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well.
Step4
Create a quick and easy fake blood with liquid dish soap and red berry flavored powder drink mix. Put the desired quantity of liquid soap in a shallow bowl and stir in the power mix to reach the right shade of ghastly dark red.
