But they have been inundated with people wanting to text aliens.

Spokesman Chris Thomason said: “Lots of people believe we’re not alone. They send messages saying ‘I am here, I am ready’, or ‘Waiting for you to contact me’.”

One texter explained: “I know aliens exist and I know where. But governments hide the truth.”
