During the afternoon, the Wysox Halloween Party, a tradition for 30 years, once again welcomed children and their parents for games and fun at the Wysox EMS Building. It’s sponsored by Wysox EMS and the Wysox Chamber of Commerce.
Tanya Walker of Wysox was there with her four children. She said it was fun.
“I was here when I was little, too,” she said.
“I think it’s a good thing,” she added, noting it was good for children because they could have something to do.
Pam Herlt’s dog, Ranger, was dressed up like a bumble bee.
And kids were having fun doing the ring toss.
“They win, no matter what,” said Andrea Potter, who was helping the kids with the game. “We make sure we have lots of prizes.”
Kids could also listen to a story. Jeanne Gamble read them a Halloween tale.
Later on, hundreds of people, young and old alike, lined Main Street in Towanda to take in the Annual Halloween Parade. Originally planned for Saturday, the parade was moved to Sunday due to rainy weather.
