Great News: Many turn out for Towanda’s Annual Halloween Parade, Wysox Party!

During the afternoon, the , a tradition for 30 years, once again welcomed children and their parents for games and fun at the EMS Building. It’s sponsored by EMS and the Chamber of Commerce.

Tanya Walker of was there with her four children. She said it was fun.

“I was here when I was little, too,” she said.

“I think it’s a good thing,” she added, noting it was good for children because they could have something to do.

Pam Herlt’s dog, Ranger, was dressed up like a bumble bee.

And kids were having fun doing the ring toss.

“They win, no matter what,” said Andrea Potter, who was helping the kids with the game. “We make sure we have lots of prizes.”

Kids could also listen to a story. Jeanne Gamble read them a Halloween tale.

Later on, hundreds of people, young and old alike, lined Main Street in Towanda to take in the Annual . Originally planned for Saturday, the parade was moved to Sunday due to rainy weather.
