How to Make Jack-o-Lantern Cupcakes

Things You’ll Need:

* 1 box yellow cake mix
* 3 eggs
* 1/3 c. oil
* 1 t. grated orange zest
* 1 t. orange food color
* 1 c. butter, room temp.
* 4.5 c. powdered sugar
* 1/4 c. milk
* 1 t. vanilla extract
* 12 black gumdrops
* black decorating sugar
* 2 Fruit Twistables candies, cut into 1 inch pieces

Instructions / Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Preheat oven to 350. Line 24 muffin cups with liners. Prepare cake mix according to directions using water, eggs, and oil. Add zest and 1/4 t. coloring. Bake and cool according to directions.

Step2
On medium, beat butter until fluffy. Beat in sugar, then milk, vanilla and remaining color. Put 3 T. in a plastic food bag with hole cut in 1 corner.

Step3
Trim tops of 12 cupcakes; remove wrappers from remaining 12. With frosting, attach unwrapped cupcakes onto the trimmed with cupcakes. Cover with frosting. Roll gumdrops flat; sprinkle with decorating sugar; cut out face shapes. Make eyes with frosting. Attach candy for stems.
